| Welcome | Dec 8, 2007 |
Pin-up art has been over looked as art for the most part. I don’t agree with that point of view and collected images over the years that are displayed here. The images are mostly from the first half of the 20th century.
During the 60's the glamour and mystery was being replaced with cute nudes and a harder look. By the mid 70's pin-ups had turned into totally nude pictures with little style and no glamor at all. The artists still do excellent work but the glamour is gone.
I haven’t actively collected pin-up art for more than five years. All of the pictures displayed here were downloaded from numerous websites and includes magazine, advertising artwork and pin-up girls. | Pin-up Art

Received the message below and clicked on the video link, next thing I know is that I need a “codec” to play the video, clicked on that and executed the file. Bad news installed adware and several programs. Reloaded my backup so no harm... more | Guestbook
| Thanks Woody, made it another year. OB |
| Victor, I think everyone has trouble at first with Multiply. Down at the bottom of your Multiply home page click on “Help”. The second category in the “Help Center” is “General Product Help” click on “Search for answers from fellow Multiply members”. In the FAQ section click on “photos”. You may find the help you are looking for.
One of my objectives was to post the best images I could and by doing so they are the best on the web. It’s not that I’m that good it’s just everyone else is that bad and makes me look good.
Owner of an original January 1946 gatefold, only seen a photograph of one several years ago. If you wish to improve your Multiply”headshot” just copy the full size 01/46 gatefold and resize it down to 100 by 100 pixels and save as a .gif. Or let me know and I can do it and post it for you to copy. OB |
| Obviously I have not mastered this site yet what with my multiple comments...I just wanted to say that this is one terrific site - the best I have ever seen as far as pin-ups go...And the quality of the prints is excellent - however over time I will improve some of them ! And to repeat, I do possess the original gatefold and it stays with me until I croak ! Even eBay doesn't list one ! |
| Woody, very kind of you to say that. It’s my pleasure. OB |
| I am still quite impressed by the variety and quality of images you have posted here.
Thanks,
Woody |

fmb58 wrote on Jan 20, '09 Terrific work....I agree 100% on your views..maybe now that there's a new president in the white house things will change... |
| Nice to hear someone’s search found us, thank you. OB |
| We had a member join the Ziggy site yesterday or the day before that found it because of your fantastic work here, OB :)
He's a pin-up fan and who wouldn't want to see your fabulous scans??? I told him how much work you put into them. Wow, the patience... something I certainly don't have!
Thanks for all the hard work OB.

obb1esso wrote on Jul 15, '08, edited on Jul 15, '08 Site note: Haven’t added any new images for two months, several reasons for this and no reason to go into the “why” of it here.
Back working on the remaining "Varga Girls" this week. To help explain the delay in posting more images it takes eight to twelve hours of work for the average image. The larger the image, complexity and the number of defects can extend the time needed from days to a week plus. No picture posted here has been scanned or copied without some work, the "Varga Girls" by far take the most work. Fifty three to go.

| Thanks again Jane. Alberto Vargas did the hard part of creating the “Varga Girls”. I did my best to present good quality pictures of his work. |
| The Vargas work is exceptional, but then again, all of these are spectacular, OB! Thanks so much for all of your hard work on them and for sharing them with all of us, jane |
| Wonderful site, OB! Thanks for all the beautiful pics by all the classics, jane :) |
| My pleasure, more to come. OB |
| Thanks for these---they are beautiful....johnl |
